For some years now, I’ve made it a habit of mine to put together firmware versions for my own use and I’ve published it ever since on the blog in case people found it useful. I’ve continued to put a disclaimer basically saying do test it first on your own non customer facing systems and [...] [...] I’m working on my application FindMyFirmware today, specifically I’ll be uploading a new xml feed file to contain the latest firmware versions. If you’ve got FindMyFirmware (we’ve had thousands of downloads in the last months) when you close the application and re-open it, it connects to the internet and automatically downloads the updated file. If there [...] [...] I used to host all my files on our web.mac.com site as it was convenient and it was open to all, however Apple are withdrawing this service, so I’ve spent today migrating the files and updating all the hyperlinks to where they are now located – http://www.findmyfirmware.com/firmware. An example old url would be: http://web.mac.com/martinmacleod/iWeb/Site/Blog/Virtualization.pdf which has [...] [...] We’ve had to make some changes to the FindMyFirmware applications, so we will shortly be updating them, it’s nothing complicated, we’ve had to update the configuration file location, more information soon.
