Introducing Martin who writes the bladewatch blog

It all started in October 2006. Martin was looking to answer some technical issues to do with some systems he was deploying and wanted to keep informed about the news, the result was the Bladewatch blog.

The blog initially tracked news about virtualization, blades and grid, but continues to evolve today, covering the topics that matter in an accessible format.

Martin is an end user:

  • He works with servers on a day to day business, he speaks with CIOs, managers and end users both on the business and the technology side, his interviews cover business and technology people, they cover the real world.
  • He covers not only the technology, but the best practice, the operational issues which end users experience on a day to day issues.
  • He offers a balanced analysis of news releases, where end users should be, what they should know in order to realize the benefits of technology in their business.
  • The blog actively encourages new entrants to the industry, including start-ups.
  • We continue to avoid negative comments on the basis that life is too short, that we want contribution and dialogue with all our readers, our contributors and vendors alike.

Martin is always available for comment, for conversation or questions email him on his Blackberry: martinmacleod@mac.com, his resume is here.
