Dell Networking Delivers New SDN-Enabled Fabric Solutions, Innovative Convergence Platform to Help Accelerate Data Center Transformation

·  Dell Networking Active Fabric solutions deliver software-defined capabilities for easily-scalable data centre fabric designs at a lower cost than traditional architectures.

·  New Dell Active Fabric Manager provides graphical user interface, single-pane-of-glass planning, configuration, management and monitoring, reducing design and deployment times by up to 86 percent compared to manual processes.

·  New Dell Networking S5000 converged LAN/SAN platform is Dell’s first 1U modular, top-of-rack switch providing pay-as-you-grow Ethernet and Fibre Channel connectivity.

I have been watching with interest Dell’s developments over the past few years, they have made numerous acquisitions to better extends it’s possibilities and deliver value to meet their customer needs as an enterprise grade manufacturer and service provider.  The announcement today further illustrates their commitment in the networking business, through the delivery of their 1u converged switch as well as their software defined capabilities in the fabric space, both of which are very interesting.
