Telstra deploys another data center for the cloud

The VictotrianTechnology Minister, Gordon Rich-Phillips, said the $100 million investment by Telstra was part of the company’s continuing $800 million investment in cloud computing which would deliver “significant economic benefits for the Clayton area and increase activity in the broader Victorian economy.”

“Telstra has a strong presence in Victoria and I am delighted that the company has committed to such significant investment into cloud infrastructure in our state.

“Once complete, the 2,000 square metre cloud centre will provide a modern facility that will house Telstra’s future revenue generating platforms, such as enterprise cloud services, and showcase the latest data centre design and energy efficiency.

Demand for data center capacity continues hether it’s for cloud, as part of a data center renewal the demand for energy efficient data centers that can meet our growing demands for Big Data, agile computing and next generation infrastructure.
