HP and Intel Acknowledge Global Mission-critical Computing Innovators

I attended the Mission Critical Innovation Awards which was to celebrate companies unique value proposition with business solutions and new applications of HP Integrity systems based on Intel’s Itanium or Xeon processors. There were a range of companies that had been selected with judges who had made their decisions based on a range of criteria aroun complexity and business benefit.

The hosts were Ric Lewis, Vice President and Interim Manager of Business Critical Syastems and Converged Application Systems from HP, and Pauline Nist, General Manager Enterprise Software Strategy from Intel.

The official Intel blog about the award ceremony is here, and the HP press announcement is here.

For me it was interesting to hear what scenarios the technology was being used and to see real world examples of technology delivering business and social benefit.

Well done in particular to the Kenya Women Finance Trust Deposit Taking Microfinance Limited team, who transform lives via micro-lending.
