HP brings us the Proliant DL560 Gen8
The HP ProLiant DL560 Gen8 is a brand new server in the ProLiant portfolio that redefines density-optimized 4-socket rack server technology without compromising on performance, scalability, and expandability. Supporting the new high-density and cost effective Intel® Xeon® E5-4600 processors, the DL560 Gen8 is ideal for virtualization, database, business processing, and general 4P data-intensive applications where optimization of data center space and price/performance is paramount.
The server is packed with the latest HP innovative and intuitive hardware and software features. Hardware enhancements include the HP SmartDrive carriers, HP Smart Socket guide, HP SmartMemory, FlexibleLOM technology, “3D Sea of Sensors”, the new embedded Smart Array P420i RAID controller, and more. Software enhancements include HP Integrated Lifecycle Automation, Dynamic Workload Acceleration, Automated Energy Optimization, Intelligent Provisioning, agentless hardware monitoring, and Active Health System.
I was on the HP site doing some research about their Gen8 servers and came across their new DL560 Gen8 server, it does look cool and it’s great to see further innovation in the four socket space, in this case the Intel Xeon E5-4600 processors. You can read the quick specs at this url.
