Pure Storage shows us how VMware solutions are done

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, Jun 27, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) — Pure Storage, the all-flash enterprise storage company, today announced that its FlashArray has achieved VMware Ready(TM) status. This designation indicates that after a detailed validation process the Pure Storage FlashArray has achieved VMware’s highest level of endorsement, and can be found on the VMware Solution Exchange (VSX) at https://solutionexchange.vmware.com/store/products/8295 .

It’s great to see Pure Storage gain VMware Ready status for their FlashArray if only because the more certified products and configurations there are, the more options there are for the end user community and competition in the industry which has to be a good thing. I wonder if we’ll see more of these kind of FlashArray’s coming along and being used not only for virtualization but high performance solutions as we seek to capitalize on these low latency high performance storage platforms.
