Microsoft release IE7 patch

Security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise a computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer and gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

There’s an interesting article from the bbc about this. Securing your platform is the cost of doing business in terms of support and possibly compliance (depending on your business). That you secure Windows is also going to be the first question when logging a call to a vendor/service provider: What operating system, service pack and security patches/hot fixes are installed.
