Talking about Dell and HP blades
I recently had the Dell M1000e chassis delivered to my Data Center for evaluation. I have a HP c7000 blade enclosure already I’m was already a sceptic about blade technology. There are some nice benefits to blades like wiring consolidation etc. One thing I’m not a fan of is the networking consolidation now it might be fine for a lot of people but I use alot of VMware and iSCSI storage I need every bit of I/O I can get I/O consolidation is not good for me.
I’m going to try be as fair as I can be in this review. I am primarily a Dell shop but we are getting more and more HP all the time. There are some things I’m very pro one way or the other on please forgive me.
