This is industry practice and because the limits operators set for fair usage policies are so high, most customers will enjoy what feels like unlimited usage. Sadly there are a very few customers who do abuse the services, and having a fair use policy in place gives Vodafone, and all operators, and indeed our customers protection against this. Our research with customers shows that 500MB for mobile internet is rarely exceeded and we regularly review the way the internet and email is used to ensure the 500MB is still adequate. We train our retail advisors to explain this to you when you buy a phone for internet or email use. Also all of our adverts do have a note on them to detail what is included in the price plan and full terms and conditions are given to you when you buy and are also available online or on request.
