VMWare

The VMware Virtualization Forum 2008 is your most important regional virtualization event of the year, designed to help you learn about the benefits of a virtual infrastructure. Discover why over 100,000 IT organizations use VMware products to address key business objectives, such as server consolidation, desktop security, remote office management, reduced power and cooling costs, business continuity and software lifecycle automation.

I’m attending this tomorrow and can’t wait. It will be great to speak with people that are using VMWare as well as chat with some of the vendors about what they’re working on. Anything that we can do to aid virtual machine management, to aid what we can achieve with the technology in terms of deployment and reporting has to be a good thing. The more virtual we become, moving towards service provisioning, to a common infrastructure the more transparent we have to be, the more we need to think about capacity, performance and reporting. Will be blogging the event tomorrow. I’ll see you at the solution exchange and genius bar, and I need to see if there’s anyone from DataSynapse, I’d love to talk to them about what they’re doing with VMWare.
