MARLBORO, MA — 08/05/08 — Egenera Inc., the data center virtualization company, today announced that the Mass Technology Leadership Council (MTLC) has nominated Egenera for “Private Sector Company of the Year” and Egenera CTO Pete Manca as “CTO of the Year” as part of the organization’s annual Technology Leadership Awards. Winners will be announced at the Fall Awards Gala in October.

The only awards program to recognize outstanding achievement in both the development and implementation of information technology in Massachusetts, the Mass Technology Leadership Awards honor companies and individuals who best exemplify leadership and excellence in business and technology. The awards program builds on the traditions of the Massachusetts Software Council and the New England Business and Technology Association, which merged to form the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council.
