SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 30 /PRNewswire/ — Chelsio Communications, Inc., the leading provider of 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) adapters and ASIC solutions, today announced that its T3-based, dual port 10GbE CX4 PCI Express Storage Accelerator has been selected by Verari Systems as the high-speed interconnect for its award-winning BladeRack(R) 2 X-Series DataServer(TM) and StorageServer(TM) storage platforms. Chelsio adapters are the highest performance 10GbE in the industry, and are designed for storage, server and cluster networking applications.

10GB Ethernet might not necessarily be for everyone (certainly not at the moment). As a small business 100MB might be fine, where it can bring real benefits is in grid/hpc and virtualization space. Being able to have a faster network might greatly improve the performance of the individual processing nodes, as well as the ability to read/write and cache data, where performance can be the difference between making that sale, of being able to price quicker than your competitors.
