NEC, which is making a push into the U.S. server market, introduced on Tuesday a low-power Intel (NSDQ: INTC)-based rack-mount server and a four-socket blade server.

NEC has been rolling out products for the U.S. market over the last six to eight months. The latest include the energy efficient Express 5800/i120Ra-e1 server and the Express 5800/140Ba-10 blade.

Check out this article talking about these new NEC rackmount and blade server, they do sound cool. That the vendors continue to innovate there platforms brings more choice and competition to the market which has to be good for the end user and the vendors. I’ll need to read up more about them.
