The European Commission has awarded a four year framework contract for IT services, helpdesk and infrastructure management to Fujitsu.

Under the contract, Fujitsu will supply IT services to the Directorate General for External Relations, including helpdesk management, infrastructure management, user support and overseeing projects. The deal covers 5,000 users and over 134 offices worldwide.

Very cool, and well done to Fujitsu, this article illustrates the ongoing demand from organizations seeking to outsource elements of the IT infrastructure, whether it’s those back office/administration or support function, as a means to reduce your costs, or of achieving your business objectives.
