Apple yesterday released the all new Mac OS X 10.5.4 which will fix a few issues with AirPort, Safari, iCal and Spaces & Exposé. AirPort has now been updated and now addresses the reliability issues with 5GHz networks and of course issues that would have possible resulted in slower performance in Logic Studio or MainStage.
What else will you expect to see with this update, well iCal has received updates for example fixing screen issues with the application that includes reliability for meeting requests, syncing with iPhone, cancellation notices and delegation, the update has also fixed an issue that will prevent deleting an iCal event without notifying the creator. iCal now includes a checkbox that addresses an issue in which events in all calendars affect availability, a checkbox now enables information-only calendars to be transparent from free/busy lookups, it will also resolve a UI issue preventing delegated calendars from showing up as a separate window, copying and pasting attendees from one event to another. iCal may not delete events after a speci?ed time interval, even when set to do so in iCal preferences and will address an issue in which To Dos cannot be marked private.
Updating your Apple computer becomes just as important as the PC, both in terms of functionality and in reducing liability/risk from known issues. I’ve updated my MacPro without any issues, will do the Powerbook tonight!
