Redundant PCs – refurbished and redistributed by British charity Digital Links – enable the use of specialist software to create up-to-date, interactive and exciting Science classes, in a bid to stop Ugandan girls from dropping the subject.

In Uganda, a lack of qualified Science teachers, training and resources means Science teaching is often substandard and uninspiring. Schoolnet Uganda has created an innovative software and training package that brings Science to life. The project, which uses PCs donated through Digital Links, funded by Barclays, is already heading for great success in improving the dismal Science record amongst girls, as well as helping to inspire and motivate teachers.
