IT Energy is gearing up to launch a new product portfolio at the Green IT 2008 event, scheduled for May 7-8 in London. The conference and expo will focus on green technology issues, strategies and solutions for enterprise and public sector markets.

U.K.-based IT Energy claims to be the first systems integrator in that region focused solely on green information technology (IT). The company’s portfolio launch will stress the need for better power management in the office environment, along with reducing waste from printers.

Very cool, the conference does sound interesting, I’ll need to find out more information about it and see if I can attend. It’s always good to see what developments are announced in this area, as well as chat with people to see how they are reacting to the green message – businesses and IT professionals vary widely as to how they’re approaching the green message – is it something for IT to worry about? Or is it something for the PR people to think about?
