Shanghai, (ANTARA News/PRNewswire-AsiaNet) – Intel Developer Forum — Super Micro Computer, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMCI), a leader in application optimized, high-performance server and workstation solutions, today unveiled its latest SuperBlade(TM) and 1U Twin(TM) servers at the Intel Developer Forum in Shanghai (booth GS004).

The new Intel(R) 5100 (San Clemente) chipset-based blade solutions deliver industry-leading performance-per-watt with ultra high-efficiency power supplies and a seven-year product lifecycle.

As the Asian chair for the Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI), Supermicro CEO and president, Charles Liang, will deliver an IDF gold sponsor session entitled, “High-Efficiency, Earth-Friendly, Application-Optimized Blade Solutions” today at 1pm in Room 3B, third floor, Shanghai International Convention Center.

“For the ultimate in energy efficiency (93 per cent*) and performance-per-watt (0.27 GFlops/watt*), Supermicro is introducing the new SBI-7425 C blade server optimized for its new 14-blade 7U DatacenterBlade(TM) enclosure (SBE-714D), which is ideal for data center environments,” said Charles Liang, CEO and president of Supermicro.

Very cool, I’ll need to take a look at these new servers, the energy efficiency and performance per watt information looks very interesting, do check it out.
