STAMFORD, Conn., March 27, 2008 — Data center software provider Aperture has added real-time monitoring to it Aperture VISTA data center management system, providing advanced information gathering on power and performance.

The Aperture VISTA Infrastructure Monitoring system is designed to help manage the equipment, space, power, cooling and capacity of data centers. Its real-time collection of data on power use, heat output, cooling and performance is meant to give data center managers an overall view of their data centers at all times, showing them where and when they can improve energy efficiency. Along with providing the data, Aperture VISTA can show the reasons behind the data and what can be done to improve performance.

Very cool, anything we can do to make data center reporting easier, whilst at the same time giving the relevant stakeholders the information they need has to be a good thing, will need to read up about it.
