INVESTMENT from a team of business angels has allowed work to start on the South Yorkshire Data Centre. The project, joint-funded by Yorkshire Forward and Objective One and delivered by Business Link South Yorkshire, has secured the additional £250,000 of working capital needed to begin fitting out the premises.

The boost comes from a group of four investors, led by Norman Shuker, former CEO of Pinnacle Insurance.

Check out this article talking about a new data center being developed in Yorkshire, it does sound very cool, and illustrates the demand for data center capacity continues. Very cool.
