Grid computing crosses business lines

The Red Bull Formula One (F1) team is using grid computing to boost development work for its 2008 racing car by getting the most out of its processing power.
With the constant need for more computing power, the team is using Platform Computing’s LSF system to take advantage of spare processing power across its network.
Check out this interesting article which is talking about how this F1 team is using grid technology (in this case Platform’s LSF system) as an aid to improve utilization of their computing power. It’s great to see people benefiting from the technology, and it illustrates how grid technologies can be an enabler to any business, whether it’s risk calculations, research or a way to get more from the computing power you have, a real enabler to your business.
