Harrods called in on365, provider of Network Critical Physical Infrastructure (NCPI) for business IT and communication systems, with the aim of improving the functionality of its existing data centre. The need for more power as well as removal of greater heat level meant that more space for the system was needed. No additional space was available within the building, so the companies decided to build the new housing on the roof of the store on Brompton Road in London.
I wrote about Harrods improving their data center, this article provides more detail about what was involved in this upgrade, an interesting read do check it out.
