Standard Chartered has implemented the Risque trading and risk management platform from Paris-based Sophis to support its new equity derivatives operations in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Sophis says the bank has gone live with its full front-to-back platform and is managing its risks in the platform, as well as using VaR and reporting modules.

Bernard Yu, global head of equity derivatives at Standard Chartered, says: “We are expanding into the fast-evolving Asian equity derivatives market and with Sophis Risque to support our venture we will be able to rapidly build out a strong business.”

Check out this article talking about Standard Chartered which is implementing a new Risque trading and management platform using Sophis – very cool. It’s great to see what technologies the different banks are using and what benefits direct or indirect they receive from them.
