IDC reported today that IBM (NYSE: IBM) continues to hold the number one position in worldwide server revenue share, with 30.0 percent factory revenue share in the third quarter of 2007. [1]
IDC also reported healthy industry growth in UNIX servers, which represents 31.1 percent of quarterly server revenue, with IBM achieving industry-leading factory revenue share of 31.9 percent. [2]
According to IDC, IBM System z mainframe also led servers priced at $250,000 or more with 28.1 percent worldwide revenue share for 3Q07. [3]
Very cool and well done to IBM, check out this article which illustrates worldwide server revenue. I wonder how sales in the Asia Pacific and Middle East markets are doing, I keep hearing things about China being one of the next markets due to it’s size in terms of population and its economy.
