NEW YORK – Nov. 19, 2007 – DataSynapse, Inc., the global provider of application virtualisation software, today announced the appointment of Jamie Bernardin, the company’s co-founder and CTO, as president.  Bernardin, who will also continue to lead the technology team, will now be responsible for the company’s marketing and product functions.  Peter Lee, co-founder and CEO, will continue his focus on business operations, sales, services and corporate development.

As DataSynapse continues to expand its product penetration across industry verticals and grow in product and solution complexity, Bernardin will align and drive initiatives to meet expanding customer requirements and the company’s 2008 business objectives.  DataSynapse’s goals for next year and beyond include the sale of its products to new clients in diverse markets, continued consistent delivery of innovative products, extended customer success programmes and the formation of new partnerships to increase revenue.

“Most people associate marketing with the sales function, but marketing is all about customers and their needs,” said Jim Maikranz, DataSynapse board member and former senior vice president of worldwide sales at JD Edwards.   “As DataSynapse evolves, Jamie will be able to align the customer value chain – from business problem definition, to solution innovation and technology implementation in order to drive expanding customer adoption and company growth.”

Very cool, I wonder what product innovation or changes this will bring to the DataSynapse platforms and to DataSynapse as a business, in particular in developing economies in the BRIC markets?
