I was browsing the web and I noticed the blade systems insight team have announced their next conference is in Arizona next April. It reminded me of a conversation I’d had with a friend I used to work with. He’s thinking of going and was asking what it was like, and if they’ve yet confirmed who’s attending, he then asked me who I’d like to see attend.

The conference was very good, the presentations were very interesting and the workshops were equally valuable, but I also really enjoyed speaking with the vendors directly, it was great to walk over and have a chat about their products, Dell and IBM were great in particular.

Anyway, it would be great if HP came along. I was trained on HP you see, my Compaq 6500 knowledge is second to none, that said it would have been nice to talk to them about their blade connect community as well as look at a C class blade

The other people I’d love to see attend are Sun, I’d love to see their new blades, to have a good chat with them, I know they’ve just launched their blades with the AMD/Intel/Sparc processors which look fantastic, the hard drive support, coupled with their processor range bring new opportunities to Sun’s blade platform, I could have one enclosure with blades dedicated per business line/application or task, very cool.
