AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) – ABN Amro Holding NV shareholders are suing Bank of America Corp over the sale of the Dutch bank’s US unit LaSalle, New York court filings obtained by Thomson Financial News have revealed.

The case has been brought by Carl and Toni Sadowsky against Bank of America (nyse: BAC – news – people ) (BoA) in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.

According to the court filings, the ABN Amro (nyse: ABN – news – people ) shareholders request that the sale of LaSalle to BoA be rescinded unless the sale is approved by them.

Very interesting, I wonder how this will affect the ABN Amro transaction, as well as the LaSalle part of the deal, will this create further emotional relationships between the stakeholders invovled?

Do check out the article, its a good read.
