The upcoming “Leopard” version of Apple’s OS X operating system includes some 300 new features, according to the company. Among them are a few notable omissions, minor disappointments, and hidden gems.

Very interesting, the article talks about the upcoming version of OS X. I think OS X is becoming an ever important offering for the small business, the restore facility quite frankly is fantastic, the preview option for files and the global desktop search looks great. Check out the article its an interesting read.

The announcement for 64bit brings new scalability options and should make development more straightforward as a platform, my only thing is does this mean that the PowerPC processor support is coming to an end? I remain a fan of the G5, even a G3 these days is adequate for internet and general use, it would be a shame to rule out hardware un-necessarily, but then I suppose there comes a point where you can’t support everything.
