VMware ESX Server Multiple Security Updates – Advisories – Secunia

VMware has issued an update for VMware ESX Server. This fixes some vulnerabilities, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to gain escalated privileges, and by malicious people to overwrite arbitrary files, cause a DoS (Denial of Service) and potentially compromise a vulnerable system.

Patch time for ESX, check out the update and see if you or your organizations security team think the patch is required to reduce corporate risk and exposure.

Remember as part of your virtualization strategy, you should be thinking about how you patch the ESX infrastructure with either a strategy for down time, or being able to migrate sessions to other hosts to minimize disruption to service.
