The Toshiba Trade-In and Recycle Program provides you with a way to trade-in or recycle used, working, technology products in exchange for a refund by mail.

If your item is no longer functioning, or has no trade-in value, it can be responsibly recycled for the cost of shipping.

This is fantastic, Toshiba are offering you the opportunity to trade in or recycle your computers etc, it’s very cool. Not wishing to be negative though, is there a reason why, yet again I can do this in US but not in the UK?

The prime example being Apple give you a 10% discount when you trade in your Ipod, I’d happily do this in the UK, but they don’t offer this facility. I wonder if the scheme will come to the UK or if I need to fly to the states to trade in my ipod, or get my Toshiba rebate for a new laptop?
