As energy costs rise, as does the need for extra infrastructure whether it’s for new products/systems, the demand for a more efficient way of supplying the infrastructure becomes ever more important. Check out the article, it’s very good.

I wonder when the consumer market will start looking at their pc power requirements? Will it ever be unpopular to own/use a pc with a 1000w power supply? Will the mac mini/tranquil pc be the next Toyota Prius equivalent in the desktop field?  Will the low voltage processor or vmware be the Prius of the infrastructure world?

    These prius cars are mad. The fuel economy just blows me AWAY. They are a popular sales item on eBay of all places. They always have bids, or are sold with the buy it now option very quick smart. Some i’ve seen with upwards of 33 bids. Crazy.
