For an organization just starting out with server virtualization and a server consolidation project, one of the first questions asked is about how to properly size the environment – capacity planning. HP is stepping up to the plate to try and help their customers do just that with the release of their online tool – the HP VMware Solution Sizer.

Very cool, check this out, HP appears to be offering a virtualization tool to aid in the virtualization process. Anything to help aid the virtualization process has to be a good thing, do think about not just the technological impact, think about the whole picture, the administration, the billing, the support and the investment long term.
