The IML logs all hardware type events the machine has experienced, you can clear it manually or by script, it will have no effect on the operating system.
It’s job is to monitor the box through the agents and note any issues, like bad memory chips, or blue screens/asr errors etc.
A screen short is in the hyperlink above. I’ve removed the serial numbers in this example (from a blade enclosure), but as you can see, it’s had problems with the power, and has recorded that blades 11 and 10 were removed/inserted on the 18th of February.
Blue alerts are notifications, Green means an engineer has corrected them. Yellow is a fault, Orange is major fault, and Red is critical.
