WEST KINGSTON, R.I., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — APC today announced that the company is a founding member of The Green Grid, a newly formed global consortium of information technology (IT) specialists dedicated to developing and promoting energy efficiency for data centers and information service delivery. APC’s participation in The Green Grid further enforces the company’s commitment to the management of energy and power usage in the data center. APC will provide significant technical expertise garnered from APC’s extensive history as a leader in critical data center infrastructure.

Excellent, having APC join the green grid has to be a good thing, their experience in the datacenter infrastructure field will be invaluable to the team. The more technical and business individuals involved in the greengrid the better. Yes we can fix the technological challenges, but at the same time we need to focus on the business specific, the non-technical ones.  Why Green is good, what benefits a virtual infrastructure can bring, that virtualization is fit for purpose, production ready, that blades can be used effectively and efficiently as an infrastructure platform particularly for vmware.
