IBM and Nortel work together

IBM Corp. and Nortel Networks Inc. are expanding an existing joint development pact on IP multimedia subsystems to cover new software integration and new facilities to carry out joint interoperability testing.

The IMS collaboration is centered on IBM’s BladeCenter hardware architecture.

Voice over IP is one of the big things for users and organizations, IBM have been making developments with their telecoms grade blade enclosures, it will be interesting to see how these are deployed, how they can aid the voice over ip migration?
