Virtualisation and standardisation are likely to be key considerations for Irish businesses this year as high energy prices and moves to simplify IT take hold.

An interesting article about the importance of virtualisation particularly in light of the rising energy costs, and the demand for a more responsive infrastructure.  Power and datacenter capacity continue to be an issue for 2007, interestingly though I see the carbon factor becomming equally important in the near future, as carbon trading takes hold as well as coporate and social responsibility.
