One of the UAE’s leading financial institutions, National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), has awarded Fujitsu Services a contract for the supply of Fujitsu Siemens Computers PRIMEPOWER 900 servers – a cutting edge, highly secure, and highly available solution – as the platform for deploying its new core banking system.

Very interesting, a lot of the banks are looking to see how they can benefit from strategic partnerships with any of the major vendors to deliver the IT as they want it, a move towards a more computing on demand solution, an adaptive infrastructure.  It will be interesting to see what experiences this bank and others have.
