NEWTON, Mass. — FilesX, a leading provider of next-generation Recovery Management solutions, featuring CDP On-Demand technology, today announced that it is bringing its Xpress Restore data protection solutions to the HP BladeSystem product portfolio and joining the HP BladeSystem Solution Builder Program. FilesX offers a broad range of data protection services that are fully integrated within HP BladeSystem and supports HP BladeSystem c-Class and p-Class blade servers. HP and FilesX have deployed the integrated blade server solution in customer sites.

FileX offers restore, and snapshot facilities for application servers, it looks very good and I’d love to see it in practice. With consolidation and virtualization, the recovery process becomes ever more important, without redundancy (v-motion) an esx server going down could cause significant disruption, a role back mechanism would reduce the impact.
