HP Intros Blade Workstations

The Palo Alto, California-based computer giant has been testing the systems since August with the venerable financial and insurance firm Lloyds TSB in London. Lloyds TSB Capital Markets has deployed 280 of HP’s ProLiant xw25p Blade Workstations across its 255-position trading floor.

Very cool, it’s a great way of changing the way you manage the trader workstations, and allows a more fluid/fault tolerant desktop service. Data center space is the only issue here, but as requirements grow, many firms are having to outsource/relocate their hosting outside their current on site data centers.
